In this seminar, which was organized with the cooperation of Netherlands Research Institute, Bahçeşehir University Creative Industries Center and Amsterdam University, new urban forms, spatial transformations and human geography were tried to be explained by comparing Istanbul and Amsterdam. What structural factors lead to the spread of hipster-dominated urbanism and the emergence of third-generation cafes in particular? What kind of results emerge in the context of ambiance and product range, events and the identity and relationships of the participants? What can we say about the interrelationship between urban young professionals, individualism, difference and bonding? And to what extent can we observe general processes or specific processes in any post-industrial city? In the seminar held on June 2, 2015, besides academic presentations, visual and auditory works such as videos, photographs and installations were also included.
