Why BAUvCD? (Visual Communication Design)
"The advantage of studying at BAUvCD is that you can gain professional experience even while you are still a student. By growing up with up-to-date knowledge and in close contact with the industry, you can secure successful positions for yourself."
Efe Kaptanoğlu, Class of 2012 (Young & Rubicam: Art Director)
"I am glad I studied at BAUvCD, because I had the opportunity to learn all the technical and theoretical knowledge to use and develop my talents in an international environment, without being confined to the boundaries of the university."
Onur Can Çoban, Class of 2013 (Jack & Jones: Interactive Graphic Designer)
"As scholarship graduates of BAUvCD's Class of 2007, the value of our department to us is beyond measure.
We completed our studies through the high-quality courses of instructors who are experts in their fields, by making use of the opportunities offered by the university, by constantly improving ourselves and, most importantly, by staying 'connected to real life' through hands-on projects. We graduated from this department knowing what to do and how to do it professionally.
In 2010, as young entrepreneurs, we began reaping the fruits of the seeds sown in this department by founding our boutique agency, which we named Fikri Mahsul, and we continue with enthusiasm. Our business partnership turned into a life partnership in 2012, and at a small wedding ceremony our signatures and hearts met once again on the terrace of our university. Our story, which began at BAUvCD, the place that brought us together as business and life partners, continues. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone."

"The education I received in different disciplines at BAUvCD has been very useful both in my professional life and in my personal projects. In today's conditions, a one-dimensional designer is no longer enough; you need different skill sets for different situations.
The bridge BAUvCD has built with the industry helps students gain important, forward-looking experience at an early stage. It also buries the cliché that theory-focused departments do not fit the industry. The campus always hosts many activities such as events, trainings and camps, and it is only after you graduate that you realize how important a person whose hand you shook there can be."
Mehmet Oğuz Arıkan, Class of 2013 (Userspots, UI Designer)
"If you have studied visual communication design, your first task regarding your department, especially in our country, is to explain to your elders or neighbors what visual communication design is.
Of course, to explain it you first need to understand it; and the only reason this department cannot be defined in a single sentence, in one breath, is that it is a giant umbrella covering dozens of different fields, from animation to interaction design, from photography to graphic design.
The best thing about BAUvCD is that the artistic identities of the department's academics are diametrically opposed to one another. Thanks to this, students experience many different methods and design fields over four years. This contrast also creates a free environment for production; unlike other schools, BAUvCD students produce individual work based on their own motivation and their own visual language.
It may sound a little surprising, but the design field we are active in in our professional lives today is completely in line with our graduation projects, because teaching design is perhaps less about imposing and teaching 'things' and more about developing, guiding and supporting the 'things' students are trying to make. We took our first steps in new media, a young field of work in our country, together with our instructors, and we thank them."

"I am glad I studied at BAUvCD, because it will always be a privilege for me to feel behind me the teaching staff who always supported me and enabled me to rise steadily in my career, and their confidence in me."
Berkcan Okar, Class of 2011 (46 Magazine: Visual Director)
"I fully understood how right my decision to study at BAUvCD was when I graduated and started my professional life. Being in a department that covers all design disciplines and passes them on to its students has always kept me one step ahead of other designers in my work. Beyond all this, BAUvCD is a culture for me; a culture I want to return to, become part of and study in again whenever I come across its news and photos. That is why, looking back, I say I am glad I chose BAUvCD and glad I graduated from this department."
Ekin Borteçin, Class of 2012 (Netmarble Türkiye: Graphic Designer)
"Our BAUvCD instructors did their best to help us adapt easily to professional life. I would like to thank the VCD department and its instructors, who have helped shape my career."
Cansu Güç, Class of 2012 (Anima: Assistant Director)
