Director's Message
Today's digitalizing technologies are transforming in direct proportion to the effective use of cyberspace layers. These layers are formed in an interdisciplinary way across fields we rely on in our daily lives, such as education, communication, energy production, health, finance, security, banking, defense, law and transportation. In this context, humanity either operates actively in cyberspace or is in constant communication with it. Consequently, ensuring the security of systems that benefit, directly or indirectly, from the cyberspace environment is of great importance. Under these conditions, protecting information as an asset against threats and dangers has become one of the key issues on the agenda, and it has become equally important that the right technologies be used for the right purposes, in an agile and, when necessary, deterrent manner, to provide this protection. To address these security needs, as the BAU Cyber Security Application and Research Center, we carry out our activities across almost every topic within the field of cybersecurity, involving different scientific disciplines, with the aims of:
- Contributing to the development of national awareness,
- Providing consultancy services to institutions and organizations,
- Contributing to the training of qualified human resources,
- Conducting academic research and studies.
