What documents are required for the application?
For a BISEP application, the following documents are required:
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Two signed Letters of Recommendation
Motivation Letter
Any additional work or achievements the applicant wishes to present
Who can apply to BISEP?
All high school students starting from the 9th grade may apply to BISEP.
*BISEP is only valid for candidates who are eligible to take the YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam).
Until when can I apply to BISEP?
Applications to BISEP open at the beginning of each new academic year and remain open throughout the year. Applications for the new academic year are accepted until the end of the university preference period.
How are BISEP applications submitted?
BISEP applications are submitted online via the following address:

Will my application not be evaluated unless I click the “Finalize My Application” button?
In order for your application to be evaluated, you must complete the application process and finalize it through the “My Page” section by clicking the “Finalize My Application” button.
How long does the application evaluation process take?
Once the online application is fully completed, it is evaluated within 1-2 weeks, and admission decisions are announced accordingly.
How can I track my BISEP application?
After submitting the online application, a tracking system link is sent to the email address provided during the application. Applicants can log in through this link to track the status of their application. * Applicants are advised to check their Spam/Junk folder, as the email may be filtered there.

When are BISEP interviews held?
BISEP interviews are conducted during the university preference period. The interview dates are announced in advance to the BISEP candidate students who are eligible for interviews.
Where and how are the interviews conducted?
BISEP interviews are conducted individually at either the BAU Beşiktaş Campus or the BAU Göztepe Campus.
Who conducts the BISEP interviews?
BISEP interviews are conducted by the Dean of the BAU Faculty of Medicine.
How are BISEP interview results announced?
Candidates who participate in the BISEP interviews are informed of their scholarship rates at the end of the interview. Students can benefit from the scholarship by submitting their BISEP Scholarship Certificate during registration.
Is a YKS ranking required for BISEP admission?
All candidates who complete their BISEP application in full are admitted to the program.
How can I benefit from BISEP opportunities?

Until when is the BISEP scholarship valid?
BISEP scholarships are valid only for the year specified on the certificate. They cannot be used in subsequent years; however, candidates may submit a new application.
Can my BISEP scholarship be revoked?
BISEP scholarships are considered ÖSYM scholarships and remain valid for nine years.
What does the scholarship cover?
BISEP scholarships may be granted in several areas, such as Tuition scholarships, International preparatory school scholarships and Scholarships supporting scientific research projects.
What is the student quota for BISEP scholarships and what are the scholarship rates?
The quota is determined according to the BAU Faculty of Medicine quotas announced in the ÖSYM guide for the relevant year.
- Faculty scholarships consist of BISEP scholarships and ÖSYM scholarships. (Each year, 10% of the quota is allocated to students receiving 100% ÖSYM scholarships.)
- BISEP scholarships are valid only if the candidate is placed through ÖSYM within the available quota.
Can international applicants apply to BISEP?
Only candidates who are eligible to take the YKS exam can apply to BISEP. Therefore, international applicants are not eligible.
I filled out the application form incorrectly or incompletely. What should I do?
You can update your application through the link sent to your email address after submitting your application.
Once your application status becomes “Accepted”, you will no longer be able to delete the application; however, you may upload additional documents under the “Other Documents” section.
I have never completed a project in high school. Do I still have a chance to be accepted to BISEP?
In addition to the standard application documents, candidates are encouraged to include any previous work they have completed. However, not having prior projects does not negatively affect the evaluation of your application.
I am currently studying at another university. Can I use the BISEP scholarship through a transfer?
BISEP scholarships are valid only for the relevant academic year and for new enrollments. They cannot be used for horizontal transfers, vertical transfers, or other types of enrollments.
Can I submit more than two letters of recommendation?
At least two letters of recommendation are required for the BISEP application. Submitting additional letters is optional and at the applicant’s discretion.
What should be considered when submitting recommendation letters?
Recommendation letters are important for helping us get to know the applicant. Therefore, they should include information about the applicant’s personal characteristics.
Who should write the recommendation letters?
One recommendation letter should be written by the school counselor, and the other by a subject teacher. Letters from other teachers are also acceptable.
