Elective courses that do not get the minimum number of students signing up during registration week will be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024 (at 16:00) and the affected students will be informed via SMS. Graduate students enrolled in these courses must select other courses from the Student Information System between 07-11 October, 2024 (add-drop week).

Adding the course management plan (syllabus) to the Student Information System. It is imperative to include the syllabus of every lesson.

ADD-DROP week - The system is opened to students who did not sign up for courses during the 23-27 September, 2024 course registration period, or who want to make changes to their course schedule.

Courses that do not get enough registrations during add-drop week will be closed on Wednesday, 09 October, 2024 at 4 pm and the affected students will have dropped the class. These students will have to sign up for a new course on Friday, October 11th, 2024 before the system closes. They will be notified of course closures by SMS but they are responsible for keeping informed of changes in the curriculum.

Deadline for students to pay their tuition (and other relevant or outstanding fees). Course registrations of students who fail to fulfil their financial obligations will be cancelled and these students will be regarded as “not having registered for a course” in that semester. Students themselves are liable for any courses that are not dropped from their schedule by this date, whether the system has assigned the course or the students themselves have registered for it. Scholarship students are strongly advised to pay due attention to their course registrations.

Early final exam dates for Erasmus or World Exchange (or other similar programs) students who will be going abroad by way of the same program - To be eligible to sit these exams, students' departure dates must be confirmed and verified by means of a document from their institutions. NOT all students going abroad are eligible to take these exams; only those whose have conflicts or overlaps in their class schedules. The Global Academic Affairs and Programs Office is required to submit a list of students who will be taking these exams to the Office of the President by Friday,13 December, 2024. The list will then be sent to the relevant departments, which will determine and announce the early exam dates to the concerned students. These students must take all their final exams on these early dates and are not eligible to sit them during the finals scheduled at the normal time.

Elective course selection and registration will not take place after this date; the system will be closed. Students whose courses were dropped due to closure will be informed via SMS.

Deadline for the Academic Planning Directorate to announce the 2024-2025 academic year summer school weekly course schedules to students

Submission of graduating class student rankings according to the decisions of the boards of directors of the relevant academic units to the Office of the President and the Registrar’s Office. Time 12:00 o’clock noon. Rankings of the students cannot be changed after this decision has been finalized. The rankings of intermediate classes will be finalized at the end of October of the new academic year.

SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer school course registrations - There is no ADD-DROP period and no withdrawals (W) from courses in summer school.

Summer school courses that do not meet the minimum criteria to stay open will be cancelled by the Academic Planning Directorate around 11:00 am, and the affected students will be notified via SMS. It is the students' responsibility to enter the system one last time, on Thursday, 3 July, 2025 to check the courses in their programs. Those whose courses have been dropped due to course cancellation can register online for other courses on 3 July, 2025. Courses that must remain open, despite not having met the registration requirements to stay open, will not be regarded as part of the students' courseload, nor will they be reflected in their tuition fees.

Deadline for students who have registered for summer school during the 2024-2025 academic year to pay any outstanding fees. Course registrations of students who have failed to make the required payments will be canceled, including summer school enrollment. Summer School courses for which there has not been sufficient student registration will be closed. Students whose courses have thus been dropped will not be able to re-register for these courses after Friday, 4 July, 2025 whether or not they have settled their outstanding debts.
