10.06.2022 – World Refugee Day “Talking to Refugees
People from all around the world are faced with circumstances that force them to leave their countries such as war, violence, natural disasters, climate change, persecution, which result in one of the biggest struggles of our age: the increasing number of refugees. Although their increasing number or their significance for different countries are highly debated and visible in political arenas, the basic rights of refugees such as health, social integration or integration into labor force are not as visible to the public eye. The aim of the event is to raise awareness on the less discussed health care issues of refugees, such as their mental and psychological well-being and healing process and also to increase knowledge on the sociological aspects of immigration and being a refugee. The related SDGs supporting the World Refugee Day Panel are; 1-No Poverty, 3-Good Health and Well-Being, 5-Gender Equality, 8- Decent Work and Economic Growth, 10-Reduced Inequalities,11-Sustainable Cities and Communities,16- Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and 17-Partnerships for the Goals
