About the ANIMIST Project

The Istanbul Animation Platform (ANIMIST) is an international animation festival organized by the Department of Cartoon and Animation at Bahçeşehir University. Aiming to develop the creative industries ecosystem for the advancement of animation and related production fields in Istanbul, ANIMIST seeks to bring together the animation sector, educational institutions in the field and everyone interested.

Supported by the Istanbul Development Agency 2021 Creative Industries (YES) Financial Support Program, carried out in partnership with the Istanbul Governorship, TRT Çocuk, GEAS and the Animation Artists Association, and coordinated by BAUKEM, ANIMIST covers an 18-month free animation certificate program in animation screenwriting, production, directing, character and concept design, animation and visual effects, as well as the production of short animations.
