Bahçeşehir University Equality and Inclusion Studies Commission (BAUEQUAL) is an initiative that works to ensure gender equality and prevent all forms of violence, especially discrimination and sexual violence.
It conducts research on how to prevent all cases of violence (sexual violence, gender-based violence and all kinds of discrimination) occurring inside or outside the campus, provides training on gender equality, cultural diversity and types of violence, organizes workshops, evaluates processes and cases at BAU.
It not only organizes and coordinates preventive measures through the BAU Equality and Inclusion Studies Unit, but also accepts individual applications and provides support throughout the process. BAUEQUAL does not initiate a legal process, it directs the person to the necessary channels.
All university members, including BAU students, academics, administrative staff and service recruited staff, as well as part-time employees, can apply to the BAUEQUAL Unit when they think they have been exposed to or witnessed such forms of violence.
