The opening ceremony will be held simultaneously by BAU, BAU International University Washington DC and BAU International University Berlin, and witness the participation of many important academicians, businessmen, politicians and students.

The ceremony will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, at 17:00 in Turkey, 16:00 in Berlin and 10:00 in Washington DC at their respective local times and broadcasted live from three campuses.

BAU INTERNATIONAL – BERLİN: TURKEY’S FIRST UNIVERSITY IN EUROPE

Established in Berlin, the capital of culture of Europe, BAU International Berlin University of Applied Sciences opens its doors for students all around the world. Getting ready to admit its first students this year, the university is the first established by a Turkish investor in Europe.

In the first stage, Departments of Communication Design, Interior Architecture, Product Design and Business Administration will offer education at undergraduate level. The faculty of BAU International Berlin University of Applied Sciences will include academicians from various countries, besides Germany and Turkey. The COOP Model, which is applied and has made an important impact in Turkey, will be implemented in BAU International Berlin University of Applied Sciences as well.

COOP MODEL IS NOW IN WASHINGTON

Getting ready to welcome its first students in September, International – Washington D.C. Campus will initially offer education in the Departments of Political Science, International Relations, Economics and Finance at undergraduate level and Departments of Global Relations, Executive MBA and Economics Law at graduate level. The school will have academicians from various countries, besides the U.S. and Turkey. Graduate programs in Cyber Security and New Media will start to offer education next year.

The COOP Model, which is applied and has made an important impact in Turkey, will be implemented in BAU International University - Washington D.C. as well. Students will have the opportunity to take courses from experts in almost all areas, including politics, economics, law and information technology. “Our students will be taught politics by the members of congress in Washington D.C., the heart of politics, and law by the lawyers of American Bar Association. We’ll offer our students the opportunity to work at an institution or company for a certain period of time in their respective fields while they study”, said Enver Yücel.
