Announcement on Ethics Committees

There are two different Ethics Committees at our University:

- Clinical Research Ethics Committee

- Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Committee

The advisor faculty member will decide which ethics committee the application file is suitable for.

For files to be submitted to the Publication Ethics Committee:

- When applying to the Publication Ethics Committee, whose details are given at the link, the bibliography and the questionnaires and scales used in the study must be included. After the student completes the application form and other documents and applies to the Graduate School, we forward the study file to the Publication Ethics Committee via the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS). It is sufficient for the student to send the Publication Ethics Committee application file as a single PDF file, with the advisor in CC, by email to sebnemnur.alkan@gs.bau.edu.tr .

Since the deadline for forwarding Publication Ethics Committee files from our institute to the committee is the 30th of each month, applicants must send their files by email by this date at the latest. Files sent after this date will be archived for the following month's meeting. Files in an incorrect format will not be forwarded to the committee.

For files to be submitted to the Clinical Research Ethics Committee:

- The file must be prepared in the same format as the "Sample Application File" under the Thesis Application File (NEW) tab at the link:

So that the cover letter can be prepared, the application file, with the researcher's and advisor's signatures completed and scanned, must be sent at least three business days before the ethics committee application date by email to sebnemnur.alkan@gs.bau.edu.tr .

After collecting the cover letter from our institute, the student will apply in person to the Clinical Research Ethics Committee Secretariat at Göztepe Campus.

If applying to both ethics committees, the application file must be combined into a single PDF file before being emailed to our institute.
