Bahcesehir University (BAU) 2017-2018 Academic Year has been opened with a magnificent ceremony held on September 18th, 2017.
2017-2018 Academic Year was opened with the ceremony held in Besiktas Campus of Bahcesehir University (BAU). The ceremony, which was attended by Bahcesehir University (BAU) Chairman of the Board of Trustees Enver Yucel, Bahcesehir University (BAU) Rector Prof. Senay Yalcin, Prof. Feridun Yenisey, Musiad Board Member Bekir Sami Nalbantoglu, Istanbul Consulate General of Belarus Republic Mironovich Vladimir, Congo Ambassador Marcel Mulumba Tshidimba, Istanbul Consulate General of Panama Andres Gregorio Nunez, Minister of Health Ahmet Baha Ogutken, Istanbul Consulate General of Macedonia Zerrin Abaz and the university's academic and administrative staff, started with a music concert. Simge Ozcen, from BAU students' council, made the opening speech of the ceremony after the National Anthem and a moment o silence. After that, Bahcesehir University (BAU) Rector Prof. Senay Yalcin mentioned that they are proud to be a part of 2017-2018 academic year and added that they will celebrate the 50th year of establishment of Bahcesehir Ugur Educational Institutions and the 20th year of Bahcesehir University.
"WE WILL GIVE SUPPORT IN SCIENTIFIC AND ACADEMIC FIELD"
Prof. Senay Yalcin, who stated that, having a distinguished and reputable place in the modern world, Turkey will handle all kinds of challenges with unity and integrity in the history, emphasized that our country will catch and go beyond the modern civilization level shown by Ataturk in democracy, law and peace. Prof. Senay Yalcin, who stated that they will continue giving support in scientific and academic fields with this belief, like they did until today, and they will never take a step back from these efforts, said "Our vision is the principle of internationalism in higher education which is one of the most important principles analyzing and synthesizing BAU's globalization reality determining the base for the changing and developing world conditions always in light of cognition". Prof. Senay Yalcin, mentioning that there is a name for BAU's internationalism principles which would embrace the whole world and is a reputable world, stated that Bahcesehir University (BAU) is the foundation university which has the most international students with the students they have accepted from more than a hundred countries. Prof. Senay Yalcin mentioned that the number of students, whom will be served with more than 1200 academic staff, is 28.000 including the international students within 2017-2018 academic year by stating that the facilities of many reputable universities from USA to Japan are in service of their students.
Prof. Senay Yalcin, who mentioned that they are on the way o being one of the first five hundred universities in the world in the year 2023, said "BAU deserves all the praises with having such an academic staff and its international projects. I am proud to be with you, valuable friends who are dedicated to grow up our youth, suitable with the words 'We have founded the Republic, you will keep it alive and glorified' of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Bahcesehir University (BAU) Chairman of the Board of Trustees Enver Yucel, coming to the stage for making his speech, started his words by giving the good news on construction of a big complex area. Enver Yucel, who mentioned that Turkey will have a very big work with this complex that can go under 7 tiers of water, said that he wished to have a very important laboratory on technology for the humanity on the bottom tier in water.
"BAU GLOBAL'S FLAG IS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD"
Enver Yucel, who mentioned that Bahcesehir University (BAU) is in its 20th year, the youth age, said "We have created such an environment as we will become better and more powerful in the youth age. We will focus on running. We will succeed good works all together with our academicians and students by suing their experiences in good manner."
Enver Yucel, mentioning that they bring foreign currency to the country with the international students, said "Other than this, we introduce our culture, Istanbul and Turkey. We especially give importance to the regions and countries in Africa, because the future o the world is in Africa in middle term."
Enver Yucel, who stated that the graduates of Bahcesehir University (BAU) represent BAU Global in various places of the world, said "There is the flag of BAU Global in 47 countries and we have offices and centers in some countries. We will have it in Africa in the next years." Enver Yucel, making the students remember that they are a part of such a big family, said "This family will work non-stop for the humanity. It will show its best efforts for not only the education of the students but also the humanity of our society, country and the world."
In addition, the first lesson of 2017-2018 Academic Year was given by Prof. Feridun Yenisey for the first time in the ceremony. Prof. Feridun Yenisey, who gave information on the general principles of the law, explained the principles of "humans living with the law of being a human, living a dignified life without harming anybody and giving everyone's right" and emphasized that these 3 main principles are 3 main poles of the law.
