The aim of the program is to educate candidates on sustainable energy and environmental management issues and to transfer knowledge within this concept. Students enrolled to the program will graduate from the program with expertise and ability to be able to assess the environmental problems occurring during the energy generation by a multidimensional and interdisciplinary point of view on a sustainable solutions basis. Meantime, studies on the water, soil and air pollution that would occur during energy generation and management and increasing the availability and establishment of newer systems are of the aims of the program.
Scopes of this program include providing necessary information about sustainable energy and environmental management to the individuals who completed undergraduate education in engineering and related fields, generating creative and innovative ideas for applications of sustainable energy and environmental management issues in residential, industrial and commercial enterprises, creating knowledge and realizing projects to research and development about the technologies that will facilitate the utilization of renewable energy sources in Turkey, promoting education and research activities on renewable energy and recycling technologies in order to enhance cooperation with industry, creating qualified human potential to take part in national and international studies by providing high quality graduate education by dealing with energy and environmental issues together in this program which is one of the global problems of our century.
