Students can apply to a minor program in the beginning of their 3rd semester at the earliest and at the beginning of their 6th semester at the latest. Applications must be completed and given to the Student Affairs Office during the dates stated in the academic calendar.
Students' acceptance to a minor program must be determined by the governing council of the related faculty.
Minor program coordinators, who are assigned by the head of the related department, will help students to manage their minor programs in collaboration with their major program advisors.
Students should have passed all courses completed in their major programs. The cumulative GPA of the student must be at least 2.60.
The cost of a minor program is 15% of the student's related major program. Beneficiary students will not pay for a double major program.
The major program of the student will not be influenced by the student's success or the failure in the minor program. There will be a separate transcript for the minor program of the student.
Students who reach a cumulative GPA of at least 2.40 are considered to be successful in their minor programs, and students with a cumulative GPA less than 2.40 are considered to be unsuccessful in their minor programs.
If the student's GPA falls below 2.40 in two consecutive semesters, student's minor program will be canceled.
Students must have at least a 2.00 cumulative GPA in their major programs. If this requirement is not fulfilled, the students cannot take courses related to their minor programs in the following term.
Students who do not attend courses without express permission from their respective faculties during two consecutive semesters will not be able to take courses and their minor program will be canceled.
Students who acquire graduation status from their major program and complete their minor program with at least a 2.00 GPA will receive a minor program graduation certificate.
Students who complete their minor program cannot benefit from the same rights and privileges in the fields of their graduate and undergraduate minor program diplomas.
Students may leave the minor programs with their own request.
Students who leave a minor program do not have to repeat failed courses in their minor programs.
