Teacher Professional Development Application and Research Center (ÖGAM)
The Teacher Professional Development Application and Research Center (ÖGAM) essentially aims to support the professional development of teachers and prospective teachers. The Center offers professional development certificate programs for teachers and carries out various research activities with teachers and prospective teachers.
Since 2016, BAUSTEM has hosted the STEM: Integrated Teaching Knowledge and Skills Project (STEM Integrated Teaching Project), which was written in 2012 for the European Union's Marie Curie Career Integration Program and has been supported by several different institutions over the years. Within the project, research-supported teacher education programs are developed and implemented, primarily for our science and mathematics teachers. The project's theoretical foundation, the STEM: Integrated Teaching Framework, also serves as a roadmap developed for teachers.
Participation in the programs developed within the project is by invitation; if you are a school administrator, please contact us.
Since our programs are supported by various institutions, no fees are charged to teachers. Externally funded projects are being written for individual applications, and through online Advanced STEM courses that are not part of a program, we contribute to our teachers' specific professional development needs together with experienced teachers in the field.
As a Professional Learning Community, the InTeach.org portal consists of center advisors, teachers and prospective teachers together with the BAUSTEM team.
