About ÖGAM Programs

A good teacher, a good education...

A good teacher is someone who continuously develops professionally and personally, renews themselves in a positive direction, explores relevant possibilities and makes use of opportunities.

While practicing their profession, in addition to their basic professional training, teachers need activities that will develop their skills in finding solutions to the needs and problems they encounter in classroom and school environments and enable them to reflect scientific research and developments in education in their practice.

To provide these services, our University has established the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Graduate School of Educational Sciences, where teacher education has begun.

In addition, it plans to lead the training of good teachers by also establishing the Application and Research Center for Professional Development of Teachers ((ÖGAM ), which will particularly address teachers currently practicing their profession.

ÖGAMwill, on the one hand, carry out the necessary groundwork within the framework of the "University in School" principles so that prospective teachers studying at the BAU Faculty of Education are best prepared for the profession during their candidacy, and on the other hand, it will organize "Professional Development Programs"addressing teachers and education administrators currently in the profession. In this way, it will offer teachers and education administrators the opportunities and means to become more effective in their professions.

Furthermore, ÖGAM will contribute to the development of the teaching profession by conducting scientific and academic research on the teaching profession.

Following the "Teacher Professional General Competencies Programs", our Center has also prepared the "Teacher General Professional Development Programs" and made them available to the education community.

These programs, prepared on the basis of the updated version of the In-Service Training Programs developed by the Ministry of National Education for teachers, will be delivered to interested educational institutions, at their own schools or at a venue of their choice, by distinguished faculty members of our University's Faculty of Educational Sciences..
