WHO WE ARE
The Bahçeşehir University Technology Transfer Office (BAUTTO) Directorate has been operating since 2014 with the aims of turning research outputs produced at Bahçeşehir University (BAU) into economic value, fostering university-industry collaboration, enabling universities to benefit from national and international support mechanisms, developing knowledge-based academic entrepreneurship at universities and commercializing intellectual and industrial property rights at universities; in line with the University Executive Board decision dated 21.11.2017 and numbered 2017/15/02, it continues its activities under the Office of the President.
OBJECTIVES:
To contribute to Türkiye's R&D potential and its capacity to produce technology
To contribute to the commercialization of the scientific work carried out by the University's academics
To carry out innovative activities for university-industry collaboration (UIC)
To assess the potential for intellectual property rights (IPR) in project and collaboration designs
To be one of the elements of sustainable development for Türkiye
To encourage and support entrepreneurship and innovation at BAU
To contribute to directing Türkiye's technology production and accumulation in line with sector priorities
To create a suitable environment for technology transfer.
VISION:
To be the focal center of research, development and innovation activities based on sustainable and proactive collaboration, providing the most suitable environment for transferring science into practice in order to increase Türkiye's international competitiveness.
MISSION:
To contribute to creating a suitable environment for stakeholders that are highly competitive nationally and internationally and that produce and use advanced technology to carry out research and technology transfer, and to managing this environment in a way that creates value.
