Department of Pediatrics

The Department of Child Health and Diseases (Pediatrics) of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine has ten faculty members (four professors, one associate professor and five lecturers). Medical education is delivered theoretically in classrooms and practically at the bedside in the outpatient clinics and wards of our hospital. In our hospital, healthy and sick infants, children and adolescents are followed from the neonatal period up to the age of 18, and all services required for the outpatient and inpatient diagnosis and treatment of sick children are provided. For emergency patients outside working hours, a pediatrician is on call in our hospital, and pediatric emergency outpatient services are available 24 hours a day. In addition to our pediatric outpatient clinics, we have subspecialty outpatient clinics such as pediatric cardiology, neonatology, pediatric nephrology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric hematology and oncology. Our hospital also has a "high-risk newborn outpatient clinic" and a "neonatal intensive care unit". In addition, bone marrow transplantation is performed for pediatric patients in our hospital, which has a "Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Center". Patient follow-up is carried out with a multidisciplinary and innovative approach, taking into account the opinions of other medical disciplines.
