Department of Medical Pharmacology
The Department of Medical Pharmacology is a department focused on education and research. In Phase 1, all theoretical Medical Pharmacology courses in the second year are integrated into the relevant committees by systems, and in the third year they are conducted as Case-Based Learning group discussions. With the education in these two years, students are expected to move on to the clinical years with sufficient competence in Medical Pharmacology. In Phase 3, in the sixth year, a three-day Rational Pharmacology training is delivered together with the Public Health internship as a Clinical Pharmacology course in the form of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in small groups. This training aims to develop students' patient-physician communication, prescription writing and individualized treatment skills. Our department also encourages the students of our faculty to take part in research projects, thus supporting their academic development.
