PLURIEX Academic Expert Panels
PLURIEX will host two high-level Academic Expert Panels each year, bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives on the EU and its evolving relationship with Turkey. These panels provide a platform for dialogue between scholars, policymakers, and EU practitioners, reflecting PLURIEX’s commitment to epistemic pluriversality and inclusive knowledge production.
Panels will be organized at major national and international conferences as well as at Bahçeşehir University. Researchers who wish to contribute to or collaborate with PLURIEX Expert Panels are warmly invited to get in touch.
PLURIEX Policy Expertise Seminars
PLURIEX will host a series of annual Policy Expertise Seminars that bring together the often-unseen technical experts who shape EU–Turkey cooperation. These seminars connect students and scholars with policymakers and bureaucratic professionals working on regulatory alignment, sectoral integration, digital governance, and other key EU policy areas.
By opening direct channels of dialogue between academia and policy practice, PLURIEX ensures that students engage with real-world EU implementation and gain insights into emerging career pathways in EU affairs.
Early Career Researcher Workshops (ECRW)
PLURIEX’s research agenda explores how diverse forms of knowledge shape EU policymaking. Led by an interdisciplinary team, the project will create collaborative research opportunities for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, including co-authorship, research training, and engagement with experts working on EU governance. The research component supports PLURIEX’s broader mission of fostering epistemic diversity and strengthening academic–policy linkages.
January Writing Retreats
PLURIEX will host annual January Writing Retreats to provide scholars with dedicated time for focused writing, reflection, and scholarly exchange. Bringing together researchers from diverse disciplinary and identity backgrounds, the retreats foster cross-pollination of ideas and support the production of high-quality publications in EU studies. Participants collaborate through shared writing sessions, structured feedback, and paired discussions, contributing to a more inclusive and pluriversal understanding of European politics.
