In our Operating Room Services Program within Vocational School of Health Services, students are equipped with theoretical information that academics and prominent specialists in the sector provide.
Operating Room Technicians working in the surgical field, one of the most important treatment areas in health sector, can use all the tools and devices in the operating room, prepare the operating room for the operation, and also take part in the operating team. This program aims to train students in such a way that they attain a scientific approach to their practices and are able to use their hands fast and skilfully with a well-improved hand-eye, body coordination. It is the aim of the programme to train students as capable professionals with a strong sense of responsibility, attentiveness, precision, caution, accuracy; who can make quick decisions, understand and apply what the surgeon is saying, physically strong, able to work flexible working hours and in stressful environments.
Students who finish the Operating Room Services Program earn the title of "Operating Room Technician".
Graduates of the Operating Room Services Program can work in; public and private institutions, Foundation University Hospitals, and various surgical outpatient clinics. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue their undergraduate programs if they pass Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
