Cancer is an important health problem in the world, and one of the most important and competent treatment methods is radiotherapy. Among the treatment options applied today, curative alone or treatment techniques such as surgery and chemotherapy are also used as a palliative treatment method in eliminating the complaints caused by cancer disease.
The purpose of the Radiotherapy Program is to train qualified assistant health personnel who can assist radiotherapy specialists, radiation physicists and radiation oncologists and work in radiation oncology centers, by controlling machinery and equipment, preparing the patient for treatment and simulation, and having the knowledge and skills to perform radiation therapy and simulation.
Those who complete the radiotherapy program earn the title of "Health Technician (Radiotherapy Technician)".
Radiotherapy graduates, whose employment possibilities are numerous, can work in the Radiation Oncology units of university hospitals, public hospitals, private hospitals and private clinics in our country. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue their undergraduate programs if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
