FEJUST Panel at the 10th Congress on International Relations Studies and Education (UIK), Ordu, 23–26 May 2024

Within the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair on Feminist Epistemic Justice in the EU and Beyond (FEJUST), Bahçeşehir University hosted a panel titled “Feminist Epistemic Justice in the EU and Beyond” at the 10th International Relations Studies and Education Congress, jointly organized by the International Relations Council of Turkey and Bahçeşehir University in Ordu (23–26 May 2024).

The panel explored gaps in Turkey–EU studies from a feminist perspective, highlighting the need to challenge androcentric and Eurocentric knowledge production. Presentations examined gender perspectives in diplomacy, feminist activism during the pandemic in Turkey, feminist standpoint theory in EU–Turkey studies, and gender inequality in G20 sustainable development policies.

By bringing together scholars from Bahçeşehir University, İstanbul Topkapı University, Marmara University, and Gebze Technical University, the panel underscored FEJUST’s mission to foreground feminist, decolonial, and inclusive approaches in the study of international relations and EU politics.
