Free mental health support is provided by the staff of the Psychological Counselling Center (one of the sub-units affiliated to the Department of Health, Culture and Sports) for both International and Turkish Students, as well as faculty and staff.

WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS/SUPERVISIONS:
BAU Psychological Counseling Center participated the School of Foreign Languages’ Orientation Program and informed the students about the Center in Fall 2018-2019 Academic Year.
The referrals and specialists list is updated for international students and students who have traumatic experiences. Wider options such as public and private hospitals/clinics for psychiatric examination and psychotherapy outside BAU PDRM were added.
BAU PDRM psychologists made peer supervision meetings in every week for 3 hours throughout the 2018-2019 academic year.
BAU PDRM psychologists Aysel Kocanoğlu and Ceylan Ersun conducted a seminar on “Adaptation to University Life and Being a University Student” on October 2, 2018.
On October 4, BAU PDRM psychologist Aysel Kocanoğlu conducted a seminar “Cultural Adjustment”.
An e-mail was prepared on World Mental Health Day, 10 October with the theme of “Youth and Mental Health in a Changing World”. In this email, self-help brochures and various sources for help were shared with all the university administrative and academic staff. They informed about how our center could provide support when needed.
Information and reports about BAU PDRM were shared with the faculties for accreditation needs.
Job analysis interviews were held with the coordinator and a specialist of BAU PDRM.
On January 30, a meeting was held with Faculty of Architecture and Design to understand the issues related to communication, students’ jury anxiety and methods of teaching architecture design.
On February 11, BAU PDRM psychologist Aylin D. Ülkümen conducted a seminar on “Dating Violence and Abuse”.S
