“The Dominators of Political Science in Turkey: Theories, Methods and Processes”, which is a book that was edited by BAU instructors Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Esmer, Çiğdem Akça and Bahar Ayça Okçuoğlu, has been published by Bahçeşehir University Publication.
The book, which was the outcome of a two-year long hard work, has been introduced to the Political Science Community and press through a promotion meeting that happened at Bahçeşehir University on September 28th 2015.
The book, which was edited by Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Esmer, Çiğdem Akça and Bahar Ayça Okçuoğlu, presents the biographies of 11 highly respected academicians,both national and international, their opinions and previsions of Turkey’s history of political science, its present and future, and their approach to the field.
With the help of this work the experiences of the ones that steer Turkey’s political science are being transferred to future generations: the current situation of academic life in universities and Turkey is presented with its whole truth;the audience is advised of what needs to be done in order to make things better. This book also attracts notice because it guides young political scientists and helps them with methods, theories and new approaches.
This book, that approaches Turkey’s present, past and future in terms of political science like no textbook can, makes a unique contribution to literary political science.
