A very special summer school begins in Bahcesehir University. Three languages spoken in this territory,namely Byzantine Greek, Modern Greek and Ottoman Turkish will be learned and developed in Imroz Summer School of Bahcesehir, with the priviliged environment of Imbros Islands. In the intensive summer school which has been opened in Imbros Islands by Bahcesehir University, there will be intensive courses upon Byzantine Greek, Modern Greek and Ottoman Turkish. The participants will be able to obtain courses upon Ottoman Turkish in elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, Byzantine Greek in intermediate and advanced level and Modern Greek in elementary and intermediate levels. The ones who participate to the courses will be able to read Byzantine Greek and Ottoman Turkish in both printed or manuscript versions and the ones who wish to learn Modern Greek will be able to develop in this language to some extent in order to have the opportunity to further develop within this language. The participants will be able to obtain reading skills for the scripts that were written in different eras.
To Learn Within an Island Life
In Imbros Summer School of BAU(BAU-IYO), In Agridia Village(Tepeköy) of the island and “Rum İlkokulu” building. The participants will take classes for the selected courses while living an island life. There will be nature and village tours along with the visits to archeological sites. There will be a full-time open studying room provided for the participants who wish to further study or do their homeworks in “Agridia Rum İlkokulu” building.

Pre-Conditions for Participation
Elementary level in Byzantine Greek and intermediate level in Modern Turkish and Arabic are necessary and will be taken into consideration for the acceptance.
