Exhibited as part of the 2nd Robot and Project Days organized by Bahçeşehir University (BAU), the local made robots has impressed. High school and university students from around Turkey took part in the contest and local made robots showed their skills.
As part of the 2nd Robot and Project Days organized at Beşiktaş Campus of Bahçeşehir University (BAU), about 500 robots that are designed in different categories competed, including the robots that are developed for the defense industry, robots with mine sweeping feature, and robots that make life easier for old people and robots that show spatial bodies.
Giving information about the project, Şenay Yalçın, President of BAU, said that they will continue organizing such activities and they aim to embrace the youngsters with skills and give them the opportunity to introduce themselves. “It is in the hands of young people to shape the future of Turkey. At this point, the duty of universities is to give them opportunities, encourage them, and make motivating contributions to their forward-looking ideas,” Yalçın said.
During the event, the cushion fight of sumo robots amused with entertaining scenes as well. The robots fought on a small cushion and tried to take each other out of the cushion. The owners of successful robots that were ranked in the contest were given awards at the award ceremony.
