Science Tunnel opened with an intensive interest after the speeches ofBahcesehir University (BAU) Chairman of the Board of Trustees Enver Yucel, Bahcesehir University Rector Dr. Senay Yalcin, Max Planck Institute General Manager Peter Fratzl , Germany Ambassador Eberhard Pohl and the Science, Industry and Technology Minister Assistant Professor Dr. David Kavranoğlu. At the opening of the speech, Enver Yucel The Board of Trustees President of Bahcesehir University (BAU), said,‘I am proud of the opening of an exhibition in a day like this in Istanbul.We have established the first university of Turkey in Germany. Turkey has aims and those aims are too large. We need to play an important role in the economy and from 2023 we have to enter in the top 10 economies of the world. Turkey's young population is very important. Turkey should produce Science and Technology.’ Peter Fratzl, The Max Planck Institute of General Manager said in his speech that they are trying to develop the frontiers of knowledge.Fratzl specifies that he is very happy to bring the exhibition to Istanbul with colloborateBahcesehir University’s (BAU)academicsand he voices that this Science Exhibition also dealt withChemistry, Physics, History of Art and Law. Germany Ambassador Eberhard Pohl said that he is proud to be in the opening such a fascinating exhibition. He told that Germany is a major economic partner for Turkey, relations between Turkey and Germany are growing and that the Year of Science will contribute them. Finally spoke Prof. Dr. David Kavranoğlu, Science, Industry and Technology Deputy Minister at the opening, and he said that sharing of scientific knowledge and experience in this field also launched the industry in order to be of service to the Turkish-German Year of Science activities related to the richness of Turkey and Germany.
The exhibition that Bahcesehir University in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute, brought to Turkey, is giving tips in many areas about the world in future from the solar system to the smallest details from the nano- technologies, from the world of full of secrets of brain to the future drug design and from human survival, learning and social systems, to the fusion technology. This exhibition conceived as the main target group formed by students of all ages but will also appeal to those far away from the world of science , It can be visited at the mall until 12 February 2015 to the " Mall of Istanbul
