The second International Bahçeşehir University Drug Design Congress will be held between the 17 and 19th of April. With the life expectancy average the risk of disease and the health problems that will be encountered in the elderly are increasing. Therefore, the discovery of new therapeutic mechanisms and new treatments for innovative and rational medicine research and development, the interest on those issues in academia and industry is increasing.
The main theme of the Second International BAU Drug Design Congress that will be held at BAU’s Medicine School between April 17 and 19 is going to be structure & ligand-based medicine design techniques and recent advances in methods and applications. The congress, open to drug research covering all researchers from different disciplines, aims to make extensive sessions. This congress will be the platform to develop joint projects between scientist working on experiment and theory in the academy and industry. In the congress, the contribution of the latest innovations in the fields of drug design, development, implementation and discussion of approaches on new scientific discoveries is another objective. This objective reflects also Bahçeşehir University’s strategic priorities in the form of integration and interdisciplinary research in basic and clinical sciences.
Works of participants in congress (verbal or posters) will be evaluated by three referees and as a conclusion participants will be accepted or rejected. In addition to this, selected works will be published as articles or/and collections in Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry (as part of SCI, SCIE). Edicts which will be sent to the journal will be in the special edition after referee decision.
Furthermore, there will be a workshop in congress about “Computer-based Drug Design”
