Bahçeşehir University (BAU), 2013 graduation ceremony was held at the Abdi İpekçi Stadium. BAU, which has more than ten thousand graduates, celebrated its 13th graduation since its establishment.
Bahçeşehir University is proud to have 1944 students graduated with a magnificent ceremony and many special guests.
In the opening speech, BAU president Prof. Dr. Şenay Yalçın declared: “Each and every graduate is the reflection of scientific education, and is the national guarantor for a bright future. Our graduates are Ambassadors of Hope for humanity and world peace,” as an expression of his great pride and happiness
Prof. Dr. Şenay Yalçın emphasized that the 2012-2013 year was a “Year of Progress” in terms of academic research, since it has been supported by governments and private institutions, and he stated, “Bahçeşehir University has become a leading university with its partnerships and agreements with 50 countries and 218 Universities from the USA to Japan, with modern facilities and education centers, substantial structure, qualified professors and personnel.” President Yalçın, in ending his speech, addressed the students; “Always and forever this excellent family of Bahçeşehir University and its support will be well with you. In the first place, Bahçeşehir University opportunities, facilities and privileges are completely yours, our valuable graduates. I am very proud to have all of you here to see the end of one stage of your precious story and the start of another. I wish you all a great life and memorable successes for the rest of your lives.”
In an important speech, Bahçeşehir University’s Chairman Enver Yücel declared that, “Today, we are all proud to be members of Bahçeşehir University. We, all together, have spent 4-5 years that had sorrow and happiness, failure and success. You graduates now are all qualified to have your diploma and from tomorrow on, you all will step into your professional journey or continue your education at a higher level. Wherever you all will be, do not forget the responsibility of being a Bahçeşehir University graduate and you will always have a place here.”
Chairman Yücel, promised that Bahçeşehir University will improve every day and become a higher quality institution and said, “In today’s era, education is a quickly changing and developing concept. Education, now, is not just only a certificate or diploma anymore. You, Bahçeşehir Graduates, may peace and love be your sustenance. Always be strong but never forget to be just.”
After the speeches, students who succeeded in completing their majors with the highest scores were announced. The Best Architecture and Design faculty graduate, Nadire Ertuğrul, was also awarded one of the most prestigious success symbols, the “Golden Brain.” Afterwards, the Bahçeşehir University 2012-2013 graduation ceremony ended with the traditional “graduation cap” toss.
