Within the scope of the Project, which also provides mentorship support in addition to training, participants meet many people working in different areas related to blockchain technology through "Chain Talks". The Project also aims to create a knowledge bank in the field of blockchain technology in Türkiye.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY WILL TRANSFORM SOCIAL LIFE AS A WHOLE

In his statement, Habitat Association Chairman of the Board Sezai Hazır drew attention to the fact that blockchain technology makes it possible to access secure and transparent information, and said that the widespread use of blockchain technology will transform social life as a whole. Hazır said: "Today, all sectors, from economics to medicine, from science to academia, from industry to transportation, are managed with information, and storing, processing and transferring information is an inevitable need in all these fields. It is clear that the widespread use of blockchain technology, which has a structure that can be used in all these fields, will also transform social life as a whole."

Emphasizing that Türkiye's ability to play an active role in the global digital transformation process depends on training the qualified workforce needed worldwide in blockchain and related technologies, Hazır said: "For this reason, as the Habitat Association, together with the Turkish Capital Markets Association and the Istanbul Development Agency, we aim to spread blockchain literacy so that wide audiences become aware of this technology and, through our blockchain specialization training, to train individuals who can implement projects that meet the needs of our country and especially our cities."

THE AIM IS TO DEVELOP BLOCKCHAIN INFRASTRUCTURE

İlkay Arıkan, Secretary General of the Turkish Capital Markets Association, said that blockchain technology, which makes everything in the field of information technology secure through mutual encryption technology, has the potential to change the course of information technology. Drawing attention to the need to build a qualified workforce knowledgeable in blockchain and related technologies so that Türkiye can play an active role in the global digital transformation process, Arıkan said: "With this project, we aim to raise awareness in the field of blockchain technologies in Türkiye, develop Turkish information resources and training modules, increase the competence of young people and support innovative ideas that may emerge."

Arıkan said the following about the project: "As a partner in such a valuable project, we will continue to provide support within the framework of the expertise of the Association and our members in capital markets and technology. We also believe that, through this project, we will contribute to our goal of the Istanbul Finance Center, which is our priority and which we support through various initiatives, by developing blockchain infrastructure."

THE GOAL IS TO PRODUCE INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

Stating that interest in blockchain technologies is steadily increasing in Türkiye and around the world, Bahçeşehir University BlockchainIST Center Director and faculty member Dr. Bora Erdamar said: "The most important needs at this time for the development and spread of Blockchain Technology are expert teams, trustworthy advisory institutions, software teams and international projects ready for implementation. Within the scope of the Istanbul Blockchain School project, we aim to train expert human resources, the most important factor in the development of blockchain technology both in the world and in Türkiye, and to produce international projects with this team."
