PhD Thesis Calendar for the 2019-2020 Fall Semester

| Wednesday, 27 November 2019 | Last day for the appointment of the PhD Qualifying Exam jury for students who will take the PhD Qualifying Exam at the end of the Fall Semester. |
| Monday-Friday, 2-13 December 2019 | Submission period for master's and PhD theses to the Graduate School for format control. Master's and PhD theses submitted after this period will not be processed, and the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam. |
| Friday, 13 December 2019 | Last day for advisors supervising master's and PhD theses to notify the relevant Graduate School in writing of the names of the jury members they propose for the exam, together with the thesis titles, student names and programs, for the formation of project and thesis defense exam juries (thesis jury proposal form). |
| Friday, 20 December 2019 | Last day for the relevant Graduate School to form thesis juries in accordance with the regulations for students for whom the formation of master's and PhD thesis defense exam juries has been notified, and for the submission of a sufficient number of printed copies of the thesis to be distributed to the juries. |
| Friday, 20 December 2019 | Deadline for students who will appear before the PhD Thesis Monitoring Committee at the end of the Fall Semester to submit their thesis progress reports to their thesis advisor, the jury members and the Graduate School. If the thesis progress report is not submitted, the student will not be evaluated by the Thesis Monitoring Committee and will be considered unsuccessful. |
| Friday, 20 December 2019 | Deadline for students who will take the PhD Thesis Proposal Defense Exam at the end of the Fall Semester to submit their thesis proposal to their thesis advisor, the jury members and the Graduate School. If the Thesis Proposal is not submitted, the student will not be admitted to the Thesis Proposal Defense Exam and will be considered unsuccessful. |
| Tuesday, 14 January 2020 | Deadline for entering Fall semester final grades (until 23:59). All grades must be entered by the specified date and time so that make-up exams can be scheduled. |
| Friday, 31 January 2020 | Last day for conducting PhD thesis monitoring committee reviews, PhD thesis defense exams and qualifying exams, and for submitting their results to the Graduate School. |
| Friday, 28 February 2020 | Deadline for the appointment of the Thesis Monitoring Committee for students who passed the PhD Qualifying Exam in the 2019-2020 Fall Semester. |
| Monday, 02 March 2020 | Last day for students who passed the Graduate Thesis exam to submit the required number of printed and digital copies of their thesis, prepared in accordance with the writing guidelines, to the Graduate School. |
