im 2019 - Interior Architecture Students Project Competition

The im Competitionsare a national project competition held in two stages, aimed at students of Interior Architecture / Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Departments in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, evaluating studio projects completed during undergraduate education.

The aim of this competition is to bring together the projects of Interior Architecture / Interior Architecture and Environmental Design students at the end of each academic year, creating a communication platform for academics and students; to strengthen the professional identity of interior architecture students; to set a meaningful goal for interior architecture students in their education and professional lives; and to contribute to raising the quality of projects in undergraduate interior architecture education.

The competition is open to all students enrolled as major students in any YÖK-recognized undergraduate program offering interior architecture education in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The competition consists of five categories: 'First year', 'Second year', 'Third year', 'Fourth year' and 'Furniture design'. Without any limitation of subject or scope, students may enter the relevant category with a project completed in the interior architecture design studio or furniture design studio of any institution awarding an undergraduate degree in interior architecture, in the fall or spring semester (or both) of the academic year in which the competition is held.

The competition is organized by the im Organizing Committee. The imCompetitions are held periodically under the institutional umbrella of the Istanbul Branch on behalf of the TMMOB Chamber of Interior Architects, hosted each year by the interior architecture department of a different higher education institution. im 2019will be hosted by the Bahçeşehir University Department of Interior Architecture.
