BAU Becomes Türkiye eSports Champion
BAU eSports' League of Legends team, BAU Raiders, became champion of the University League, one of the most important events for the League of Legends community in Türkiye.
Having won the CS:GO University League this year as well as the FIFA19 tournament of the University Sports Federation's esports branch, BAU Raiders most recently defeated Marmara University 3-0 in the League of Legends University League and finished the University League as champions. In doing so, the team achieved a major success by becoming champion in 3 separate major categories in a row.
In the semifinal, the team came from behind to beat Gazi University 2-1, while Marmara University defeated Bilgi University in the other semifinal. The tournament's two strongest contenders, Bahçeşehir University and Marmara University, met in the University League final. BAU came out on top, comfortably beating its rival 3-0 to lift the trophy.
BAU's Emray 'Robin' Kurt Named University League MVP
Emray 'Robin' Kurt, the jungler of University League champion Bahçeşehir University, was named MVP of the tournament. Continuing his education alongside his professional gaming career, the player also took on the jungler role for Bahçeşehir University. BAU Raiders, who performed very well in the University League, finished the tournament as champions, and jungler Emray 'Robin' Kurt was named MVP of the tournament. The player, who played in the marksman position when he first joined the Bahçeşehir University League of Legends team, later moved to the jungler role. Representing our country worldwide with his university, he had earned the right to represent our country at LICC by winning the University Esports Masters 2018. Emray 'Robin' Kurt stood out as the leader of his team, particularly in the University League. The talented jungler made the right decisions without hesitation in situations that called for responsibility and led his team to the championship. The pressure Emray 'Robin' Kurt put on rival junglers also played a key role in BAU's championship.
