The Safe Zone and Migration panel was organized in cooperation with Bahçeşehir University and Berlin International University of Applied Sciences. The panel, held at Berlin International's Berlin campus, was moderated by Bahçeşehir University faculty member Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Narlı. The panel, whose speakers included BAU Global Chair Enver Yücel, Bahçeşehir University President Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz, Deputy Director General of Migration Management Gökçe Ok, and former Ministers of State Burhan Kara and Eyüp Aşık, was attended by many academics and guests.

Among the key items on the panel's agenda were the migration problem Türkiye has faced in recent years and the operation carried out to establish a safe zone on the border. In his speech at the panel, BAU Global Chair Enver Yücel assessed Türkiye's situation regarding migration, saying, "The whole world has united against the operation Türkiye launched for the security of its own borders on the strength of international law. Türkiye is being treated very unfairly. Developed countries, the EU in particular, have done nothing toward a solution."

In his speech, Berlin International President Hans-Dieter Klingemann assessed the steps Türkiye has recently taken on the border, stating, "The safe zone is an appropriate decision. Türkiye had to take action."

In her speech at the panel, Bahçeşehir University President Prof. Dr. Şirin Karadeniz emphasized that quality education must be provided to all children without any discrimination, based on equal opportunity and fairness.

Speaking about the operation carried out by Türkiye, panel speaker and former Minister of State Eyüp Aşık stated that Türkiye's rightful struggle would continue and that it would be in the interest of both countries for strong countries such as Germany to act together with Türkiye on this matter.

Drawing attention to misinformation circulating among the public about Syrian refugees in Türkiye, Deputy Director General of Migration Management Gökçe Ok said, "As always, perceptions are overriding facts. There is a belief that Syrian refugees in Türkiye access public services free of charge. This information is not accurate. Most of the information put forward in public opinion about Syrians, their permanence and the services they receive is manipulated and untrue. When the right communication channels are used, highly transparent and clear information about Syrian migrants can be accessed."

Former Minister of State Burhan Kara emphasized Türkiye's stance on migration, saying, "If there were a Nobel Prize for humanity, it would go to Türkiye, because Türkiye has become the soul of a soulless world."
