2022-2023 Academic Year Clinical Psychology Master's Program (English)

Application Requirements

• Only students who graduated from an undergraduate program in Psychology may apply to this program.
• The undergraduate cumulative GPA must be at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
• International students cannot apply to the Clinical Psychology master's program.
• Applications whose documents are not completed by the specified date will not be accepted.
• Completing the documents required for the application is not sufficient for admission to the program.
• The student admission process for the program is described in detail below.

Application Documents

• Copy of diploma/Graduation Certificate (can be obtained via e-Devlet)/Temporary Graduation Certificate/Prospective Graduation Certificate (Students who have not yet graduated must upload the prospective graduation certificate obtained from their school; candidates applying with a prospective graduation certificate must submit their graduation certificates and final transcripts during registration if admitted.)
• Copy of transcript/Diploma supplement (Students who have not yet graduated must upload their most recent transcript obtained from their school.)
• 2 letters of reference (These must be sent by your referees by e-mail to hatice.alkan@gs.bau.edu.tr  ; reference letters must not be uploaded to the system. Reference letters uploaded to the system are invalid.)
• CV
• Copy of ID card
• 1 photograph
• Statement of purpose (1-2 pages, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, in English.)
• Military Service Status Document (for male candidates)
• A minimum score of 70 in the ALES EA/SÖZ score type is required. (GRE: 152 or GMAT: 500)
• Any one of the following minimum foreign language exam scores must be met: YDS 80, YÖKDİL 80, PTE Academic 78, TOEFL IBT 96, BAU Proficiency Exam 80.
• Equivalency certificate (Candidates who graduated from universities abroad must upload a copy of their YÖK equivalency certificate to the other documents section of the online application screen by the document completion deadline. Candidates who do not upload an equivalency certificate by the document completion deadline cannot be evaluated.)

Important note: No documents will be returned to candidates at the end of the evaluation process.

1. Stage: Preliminary Screening

Among the candidates who complete their documents by the specified date, those who rank above the average for the application period in the list created by weighting ALES, graduation GPA and language scores are invited to the subject exam.

2. Stage: Subject Exam

Candidates who are successful in the subject exam, which includes questions from the fields of psychopathology, clinical psychology/psychotherapy and research methods, are invited to the interview.

3. Stage: Interview

During the interview, candidates' suitability for the program is evaluated based on their statements of purpose, references, career goals and the questions asked.

After the interview, the results obtained in all three stages are evaluated, and the primary and waiting lists are announced.

Online Application Deadline: Monday, 30 May 2022, 16:00.

Document Completion Deadline: Tuesday, 31 May 2022, 16:00.

• BAU Proficiency Exam: will be held on Wednesday, 20 April 2022, Saturday, 7 May 2022 and 21 May 2022. To register for the exam, the candidate must first have a completed application. Up-to-date language exam announcements on the Announcements and News page should be followed.Candidates who have not registered cannot take the exam.
• Announcement of Candidates Eligible for the Subject Exam: Friday, 3 June 2022, 17:00.

Subject Exam: Tuesday, 7 June 2022, 10:00. (It will be held face-to-face; candidates will be informed individually about the process.)

Announcement of Candidates Eligible for the Interview: Tuesday, 14 June 2022, 17:00. (The meeting link and date-time information will be sent by e-mail to students who will attend the interview.)

Interview Dates: Thursday, 16 June 2022 – Friday, 17 June 2022, face-to-face. (Each student will be given an appointment on a different day and time.)
