United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Coming to Türkiye

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is preparing to establish an international training center in Türkiye. United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Nikhil Seth is coming to Türkiye within the framework of the cooperation agreement to be signed between Bahçeşehir University (BAU) and UNITAR.

The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL Istanbul), affiliated with UNITAR, which has centers all over the world, will begin its activities in Türkiye for the first time in cooperation with Bahçeşehir University. The opening of CIFAL Istanbul, established through UNITAR's first and only university partnership in Türkiye, will take place with the participation of United Nations (UN) Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Nikhil Seth. Within the scope of the partnership, Chairman of the Bahçeşehir University Board of Trustees Enver Yücel will be presented with the title of UNITAR Associated Fellow, a United Nations Certificate (UNC) and the United Nations flag by United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Nikhil Seth. Within the scope of CIFAL Istanbul, training programs, seminars, workshops, summits, projects and other activities on economic and social development will be held regularly. In addition, projects related to the sustainable development goals may be undertaken in cooperation with UNITAR.
