Blockchain Export in Education Begins

Bahçeşehir University (BAU) has opened a Blockchain Center at Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Through the center, Türkiye will provide knowledge support to an American university on blockchain and thus become a country that exports technology rather than importing it. Attending the opening, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly İsmail Gülle said, "Our Ministry has launched a system that enables daily transactions to be carried out without paper. We are open to cooperation with BAU on this transformation." Northeastern University faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Emrecan Demirörs stated that the agreement would contribute a great deal to Türkiye economically, technologically and commercially. Chairman of the BAU Board of Trustees Enver Yücel said, "We will carry out work in blockchain and artificial intelligence laboratories with Prof. Dr. Tomasso Melodia. With the support of our engineering faculty, we will also invest in fields related to artificial intelligence. Under our agreement, our students and faculty members will be able to go to Northeastern University. I believe great things will come out of Türkiye. I see this work as a big step in BAU's progress toward its 2023 goals." Founding Director of BlockchainIST Center Assist. Prof. Dr. Bora Erdamar said, "We are training blockchain ambassadors."
