The iX event, organized globally for the 22nd by Bootcamp Ventures, was held for the 6th time in Turkey by Bootcamp Ventures’ Turkish partner WB Cons Business Consultancy and hosted by Bahçeşehir University.
On 5-6 November 2013, at “iX Istanbul 2013” event, the world’s most important investors such as DCM, Orange, Panasonic, BBVA Ventures and QualComm Ventures met at BAU to search for new Turkish entrepreneurs who would revolutionize technology.
During the event, 20 Turkish entrepreneurs’ companies producing technology in the areas of Mobile & Gaming, IT, Big Data and Cloud, Digital Media and Lifestyle, Speed and Social entrepreneurship, had the opportunity through presentations to receive instant feedback from foreign investors.
Among the main speakers at the event were noted investor Dixon Doll, Turkish angel investor Hasan Aslanoba and leading investment firm McKinsey’s Turkish partner, Bengi Korkmaz all globally known entrepreneurs, investors and investment managers in the information and communication sector for 35 years. Speakers discussed issues such as how Turkish start-ups can be competitive abroad and what start-ups can offer to become global players.
