BAU Included in the World's Most Influential Scientists List with 5 Academics!

Five of our academics from BAU were included in the latest list (September 2022) of the world's most influential scientists, published by John P. A. Ioannidis of Stanford University in the journal PLOS Biology!

The latest list of the world's most influential scientists, compiled every year by scientists from Stanford University, was recently published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based publishing company specializing in scientific, technical and medical content.

The ranking was listed in two categories: "career-long impact" and "annual impact." International criteria such as the number of qualified publications, the impact of the journals in which the publications appeared, the number of patents, the number of citations, h-index, hm-index, the number of articles, the number of cited articles and the impact of the publishing journal were used to compile the list.

In the "Career-Long Impact" category, in which a total of 200,409 scientists worldwide and 896 scientists from Türkiye are ranked according to the citation impact of their publications over the last five years, Prof. Dr. Serdar DURDAĞI, Dean of the BAU Faculty of Pharmacy / academic at the BAU Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan ACAR, academic in BAU Energy Systems Engineering, and 3 of our adjunct contracted academics were included in the list, successfully representing our University.
