A Faculty of Medicine in Uzbekistan from Bahçeşehir University

BAU Globalhas announced that it will add a new link to its education network with the new Faculty of Medicine it will open in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

Commenting on the matter, BAU Global President Enver Yücel said: "We will start as soon as possible on the middle school, high school and university education buildings we can build together with our local partners in Tashkent. We want to start with the Faculty of Medicine first."

A new cooperation protocol in the field of health was signed between Uzbekistan and BAU Global. At a meeting attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Minister of Health of Uzbekistan and World Health Organization Vice President Prof. Dr. Alisher Shodmonov, the accompanying delegation and BAU Global President Enver Yücel, an agreement was reached on opening a Faculty of Medicine in Uzbekistan.

Commenting on the matter, Enver Yücel said: "We held a very special meeting, also attended by the President of Uzbekistan, on our wish to make investments in education and health. I shared with him that I can and want to make an investment in education and in a university, that I have universities in 7 countries around the world, that I serve nearly 200 thousand students and that we have 52 years of experience in education. I told them that I would like to establish a university and programs from kindergarten to high school in Uzbekistan, starting with Tashkent, and that I would like to do this with local partners. He said that he was aware of the matter, that he could provide all kinds of support and assistance, and that their doors were open to us."

Stating that the Faculty of Medicine is only the beginning, Yücel said: "Now we have made an agreement with the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Prof. Dr. Alisher Shodmonov. We will build the middle school, high school and university education buildings we can build together with our local partners in Tashkent as soon as possible. We want to start with the Faculty of Medicine first."

Meanwhile, the President of Uzbekistan instructed the ministers regarding the process of obtaining licenses and preparing accreditations. It is stated that after the opening of the faculty of medicine, the university will grow and other faculties will also be opened.
