BAU eSports Represented Türkiye in Hong Kong
BAU eSports, the 2018 Collegiate Esports League Turkey Champion, European champion at the 2018 European University Esports Championship and, most recently, Türkiye champion in the 2019 University League final, continues to represent Türkiye abroad.
Having earned the right to represent Türkiye at the League of Legends International College Cup 2019 with its national championship, the BAU eSports team began preparations for the World Championship to be held on 25-28 July. BAU eSports represented Türkiye at the League of Legends 2019 World Championship organized by Riot Games and VSPN in Hong Kong, alongside 12 university teams from 11 countries.
Formed by Bahçeşehir University (BAU) students and active in many different fields, the group grows stronger every day, competing for championships with its esports teams and earning a place among the most successful teams in the industry. As part of efforts to integrate esports and education, scientific work is carried out in areas the industry needs. The community, formed by BAU students and active in many different fields, organizes events throughout the year in various esports titles, notably League of Legends, Fortnite, Hearthstone, FIFA, CS:GO and PUBG, and also hosts tournaments and player meetups.
A FIRST FROM TÜRKİYE
BAU eSports flew to Hong Kong on Monday, 22 July. This means that, for the first time, a university team from Türkiye will represent the country at such a major tournament. The BAU eSports team's entire journey and tournament process can be followed on the bauesports social media accounts, and the matches were streamed live on the twitch.tv/bauesports channel.
