European Union and Covid-19 Crisis: Retreat or Re-treat?

On 9 May Europe Day, the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences - Department of Political Science and International Relations discusses the future of the European Union during and after Covid-19 with leading EU experts.

Will the political and economic challenges faced by the European Union and its members in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic lead to tension between the Union and its member states? Thanks to the economic, political and infrastructural support the Union has committed to provide to member states through all its institutions in the fight against the pandemic, will it be able to take its place as a stronger supranational actor in the post-pandemic world order? How will the pandemic test affect the populist threat within the European Union? Will Covid-19 bring decline or recovery for the Union?
