What Is ApplyBAU?

ApplyBAU, launched in 2013, is Türkiye's first and newest university admission and scholarship model.

Attaching importance to placing students at a university in line with their personal skills, interests and talents rather than through an exam system that measures curriculum-based achievement, Bahçeşehir University has implemented the "Admission / Application - Acceptance" model.

Before being placed at a university through the university entrance exam, prospective students request admission from the university by applying to ApplyBAU for admission and scholarship. When requesting admission, they are asked for their autobiographies, documents expressing their personal qualities, their talents, project and idea work, and social responsibility work. When applying, students also state the field and program in which they want to study. As a result of the evaluation, students are informed with an "acceptance letter" of the field and program in which they should study, independent of their academic achievement. During this process, the committee also has the right to interview students. In this way, students get the chance to receive an education in line with their differences and personal qualities.
