Publication and Research News from BAU Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Academics
BAU Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences academics are not content with their success in teaching; they continue to develop themselves and make a name for themselves.
As BAU, we are proud of our academics and present their recent work:
- A book chapter by Assist. Prof. Dr. Bahar Tanyaş of the BAU Department of Psychology has been published by Palgrave Macmillan.
The book New Voices in Psychosocial Studies, to which Dr. Bahar Tanyaş contributed the chapter "Rethinking the Coping Perspective in the Context of Discrimination: Young Religious Minorities in Turkey," has been published by Palgrave Macmillan.
In this study, Dr. Tanyaş examines how young people belonging to religious minorities in Türkiye respond to the discrimination they face in daily life. The study refers to processes of socialization, social hierarchies and intersubjective relationality. The author also discusses, with examples from the young people's narratives, why and how the "coping" approach in psychology remains limited in making sense of responses to discrimination.
