Our Student Selected as a Member of the YÖKAK Student Commission

Evra GÜRBÜZ, Student Representative of our University's Quality Executive Board and a second-year student in the English Language Teaching Program of the Faculty of Education, has been selected as a member to serve in the 2022-2023 academic year on the Student Commission established by the Higher Education Quality Council to carry out work aimed at disseminating a culture of quality in higher education at national and international levels, internalizing quality processes and increasing students' participation in the quality assurance system.

A total of 393 applications from 125 higher education institutions were submitted in response to the call announced by the Higher Education Quality Council to select members to serve on the YÖKAK Student Commission in the 2022-2023 academic year. The applications were evaluated by the Preliminary Evaluation Committee in line with the "Directive on the Student Member of the Higher Education Quality Council and the Student Commission", and 38 candidates from 33 higher education institutions qualified for the interview. 35 candidates took part in the interview held by the Interview Committee on 24 November 2022.

Evra GÜRBÜZ, who also serves as a student assistant at the Quality Management Unit, successfully completed the five-part written application and interview process and earned the right to become a commission member.
