2024-2025 Fall Semester Schedule for Transfers Between Thesis and Non-Thesis Programs

Conditions for Transfer from Thesis to Non-Thesis Programs

• To transfer at the end of the 1st semester, students must have completedat least 2 credit coursesin the thesis master's program in which they are enrolled.
• Students wishing to transfer at the end of the 2nd semester must have completedat least 6 creditcourses.
• Transfer applications cannot be submitted in the 3rd semester.
• Ranking is made according to cumulative grade point average within the quota.

• The "Courses Requested for Exemption" section of the transfer form will be filled out by the Program Coordinator.
• Applications will be received in person, and transfer forms with wet signatures will be submitted to Berna GÜLER GÖKDERE. Students residing abroad or outside the city may send their (signed) transfer forms in PDF format to lisansustu@bau.edu.tr by e-mail.
• Transfers between programs are subject to an additional fee; payment amounts are determined according to the number of courses to be taken.
• The ALES document is required only for transfers to thesis programs.

Conditions for Transfer from Non-Thesis to Thesis Programs

• To transfer at the end of the 1st semester, at least 1 credit course must have been successfully completed in the non-thesis master's program in which the student is enrolled.

• To transfer at the end of the 2nd semester, at least 1 credit course must have been successfully completed in the non-thesis master's program in which the student is enrolled.

• Transfer applications cannot be submitted in the 3rd semester.

• A score ofat least 55must be obtained from ALES in the relevant score type.

• Transfers to thesis programs are not permitted from non-thesis programs without a thesis alternative or from Distance Education programs.

• The ranking criteria to be applied according to the quota are given in the table below.
