Applications Open for the Diplomat School 23 Certificate Program

The Diplomat School program, organized by the Government Leadership School of the Bahçeşehir University International Leadership Application and Research Center (ULMER) as a first in Türkiye in terms of its name, format and content, meets students with its renewed content and new format.

Having hosted many figures who form the decision-making and opinion mechanisms of the country's foreign policy management, such as ministers, ambassadors, members of parliament, opinion leaders and veteran academics, the Diplomat School has continued its approach of raising its own bar every academic year with the support of its distinguished guests and the interest of its participants.

The aim of the Diplomat School program is to turn today's and tomorrow's diplomats and leaders into well-equipped individuals who are well versed in national affairs and capable of solving problems, and to equip them with objective information and data.

The program language is English. The program takes place on Mondays between 08:30 and 11:30 over 14 weeks. Held each week in single or multiple sessions with different guests, every session of the program ends with a Q&A part.

At the end of the program, participants who meet the attendance requirement (75%) and successfully complete the end-of-program evaluation receive a certificate. In addition, participants who meet the attendance requirement are considered eligible to receive a certificate of participation.

Diplomat School certificates, together with "Diplomacy School 22," have gained the status of a recognized training certificate that can be verified via e-Devlet.The program will be held at Bahçeşehir University South Campus. This year, for the first time, the "Diplomat School" certificate program is being held in a certified course format together with the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, in parallel with the undergraduate course "Diplomacy."

In the Diplomat School, a long-term program, many important issues concerning Türkiye and the world are evaluated in the context of events and processes from the past to the present.

The program is funded by Bahçeşehir University. Candidates who have worked in the relevant field and wish to improve their competencies can register for the program free of charge, subject to program capacity.

**Candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Türkiye can apply with temporary Turkish ID numbers starting with 9.

***ULMER-HLO reserves the right to continue the program online in situations such as public health concerns or disasters.

****ULMER-HLO may make changes to dates, times and topics in extraordinary circumstances.

*****During the program, make-up/additional sessions that every participant can also follow asynchronously may be added so that some topics specified in or added to the schedule can be covered in more detail and more efficiently.

******A transcript is available for Bahçeşehir University students who take the POL2244 Diplomacy course, provided that they meet the necessary course completion requirements.
