Greece's next step will be to sign an EEZ agreement with the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. News reports indicating that Greece is on the eve of announcing an EEZ agreement with the Greek Cypriot Administration are appearing in the Greek and Greek Cypriot press. At this point, it is considered that the only option for a proactive strategy is to declare an EEZ. Therefore, it is assessed as beneficial and necessary to declare an EEZ in the Eastern Mediterranean without losing any time, as if agreements had also been made with Israel and Lebanon.
