Conditions for Transfer from Non-Thesis to Thesis Programs

• To transfer at the end of the 1st semester, at least 1 credit course in the non-thesis master's program in which the student is enrolled must have been successfully completed.
• To transfer at the end of the 2nd semester, at least 1 credit course in the non-thesis master's program in which the student is enrolled must have been successfully completed.
• Transfer applications cannot be submitted in the 3rd semester.
• A minimum score of 55 in the relevant ALES score type is required.

• Transfers to thesis programs are not possible from non-thesis programs without a thesis alternative or from Distance Education programs.
• The ranking criteria to be applied according to the quota are shown in the table below.

Conditions for Transfer from Thesis to Non-Thesis Programs

• To transfer at the end of the 1st semester, the student must have completed at least 2 credit courses in the thesis master's program in which they are enrolled.
• Students wishing to transfer at the end of the 2nd semester must have completed at least 6 credit courses.
• Transfer applications cannot be submitted in the 3rd semester.
• Ranking will be based on GPA within the quota.

*Transfers between programs are charged separately; the payment is determined by the number of courses (slots). The calculation is based on the announced program fee for the semester of transfer. Scholarships do not apply to transfer procedures.

*Applications will be received through the BAU Student Solution Center Online Platform (help.bau.edu.tr), and the application form and the ALES certificate (required for transfers to thesis programs) must be uploaded via help.bau as a single PDF file.
