STUDENT AT OXFORD, LAWYER IN NEW YORK
Beril Boz, who entered the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law to fulfill her childhood dream and, after graduating as a high honor student, went beyond Türkiye to obtain a law license in the United States, is now pursuing her doctorate at the University of Oxford. Describing the secret of her success as hard work, Boz said, "My advice to students who want to study law is to give importance to theoretical knowledge and the philosophy of law. It is very important to learn, research and question the purposes and theories on which any rule is based and how it has come down to the present day."
Having had the opportunity to practice her profession for six years in commercial litigation and legal consultancy, Boz is pursuing her doctorate in the field of personal data protection law.
CLASSROOMS ARE BEING EQUIPPED WITH TECHNOLOGY
Stating that they are proud of the many graduates who, like Beril Boz, have risen to important positions, Prof. Dr. Feridun Yenisey, Head of the Division of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law and Director of IGUL, said: "From now on, legal education and legal practice will be virtual. We are building a specially designed building to train lawyers suited to the virtual era. For this, we need classrooms equipped with technology. The ground floor will be designed to suit mediation work. Lawyers and students will provide information to the public there. This is the kind of model we are pursuing."
